- - - - - - - - - - - Gwen didn't move. She just stood there, glaring at him. The good mood she had been in was forgotten, as were the thoughts of just ignoring him. It could be good for her to get away from him. Go for a walk or a drive or something. It might work in getting Owen off her mind and think of something more pleasant.
Owen closed his eyes and looked like he was in pain and Gwen's face softened. She wondered what had happened to cause the fight. Knowing Owen, he probably flirted with the wrong girl. She was still angry, but even that had faded a bit now. Her caring nature was taking over now. She was still angry that he started in when she walked in, but Gwen didn't look quite as angry as before. When he spoke, a bit more of her anger faded. "Owen, you aren't alone. You can never be alone when you've got friends and people that care about you." She cared about him and she was sure the others did, too. You don't keep someone around if you didn't care for them at least slightly.
Of all the things he could've said in response to her question, this wasn't what she had expected. Her anger faded completely as she watched and listened to him. Gwen had never given much thought to him and Diane. It had hurt her a little when she found out the two had something going on. "Owen..." Her voice drifted away and she moved closer to him, but stopped short when he kicked the trash bin. "That's life. Nothing stays the same. Nothing lasts forever." Gwen wished she could say something to make him feel better, but she had to tell him the truth and unfortunately, that was the truth. After he had kicked the bin again, she walked over to him and put an arm around his shoulders. "Think we could stop the fighting and move onto a more pleasant conversation?"

“Stop,” Owen laughed out loud at Gwen. “We will never going to stop, sweetheart. You’re an energy that fuels my fire and I am the fire. Feed more energy. We can make a sizzling hot dish.”
Waving his hands in the air, “Okay I will stop. Okay. Now,” he said looking at his watch on his wrist. “Oh look a second had gone. Two seconds. Three seconds. And four seconds. And five seconds…” he peeked a look up Gwen. “Okay, I am sorry for being a wanker. Why don’t we go…” he stopped himself saying the pool hall. He just had a big fight there and that would not be a wise place to go. “How about we go bowling and the loser buys Chinese?” he crossed his arm. “And if your man, Ryhs he could come along. I don’t want him thinking I stealing you from him…And I don’t even have to try,” he winked at her.

- - - - - - - - - - - There was truth in what he said. They were never going to stop. It was in them, part of their relationship. There was bound to be more fights in the future, probably more before this day was done. Gwen just didn't want to fight with him at the moment. There was nothing wrong with taking a break from their fighting and have a civilized conversation. "I fed your fire enough already. Time to cool down if that's possible for you to do."
Sometimes he could make her laugh, when he wasn't in one of his bad moods. When he started counting the seconds, she laughed some. Bowling sounded like a good idea, though she wasn't sure about Rhys joining them. She could just imagine how that would turn out. Rhys was a bit jealous, it probably wouldn't take much to set him off. He'd once saw her with Jack and had accused her of sleeping with him. "Sounds fun, but without Rhys. Just us. I am allowed to go out with friends and have fun without him, you know. Loser buys chinese... I hope you have enough money on you." Gwen rolled her eyes at his last comment and shook her head. "So why am I still with him?" she asked. "Why haven't you stolen me yet?"

Owen grabbed his leather coat, slid it on and ignored Gwen’s comment. He smirked as he walked by. “Loser,” he said, making the “L” sign with his left hand as he walked by.
The bowling alley was a good walking distant. “Look a day off,” Owen commented because there was no rain. When Gwen got close up, he stuck his left foot to try trip her, but he wasn’t really trying. It was more a joke.
It was odd, Owen and Gwen going bowling alley without the team. It would be nice to have Toshiko with them. Toshiko was the silent killer. She liked to talk. Ianto was too quiet. If Jack was with them, he could find a way to make a conversation.
Walking in the bowling alley, Owen quick held the doors from the inside, so Gwen could not get in. He was standing there smiling at Gwen. He was teasing Gwen. “Sorry, we are closed,” he said to her. “We don’t like wanna be bowlers.” Gwen was liked a sister that Owen never had. He had never shared that with anyone.

- - - - - - - - - - - "I know you're a loser, Owen, you didn't need to tell me," Gwen said, smiling as she went after him. This was going to be fun. She would make sure she won just so she could mess with him about it later. It was fun picking on him. She heard his comment about a day off. "Don't say that it might start again." She lightly stepped on his foot, then ran ahead of him, trying to make it to the alley before him.
The others weren't there, but she was sure they could have just as much fun without them. They could always make conversation or jokes. Most likely jokes. She'd be teasing him an awful lot, like every time she scored higher than him. She tried to make it there before him, but ended up slowing down and before she knew it, he was already in the alley and stopping her from coming in.
Gwen laughed and shook her head, then got serious and crossed her arms. She wasn't really serious. There was no reason for it. She just wanted to appear like she was. "Then the staff better be alerted that a wannabe bowler is in the alley," she said.

He titled his head, giving her a sore look. “No kids are allowed,” he said, pushing the door open for her. It was fun and games for Owen. The man was going not going to lose to Gwen. There was no way he would let her go flap her gob how she beat Owen in a game.
Inside, the bowling alley, in the corner of Owen's eyes, he saw the pool table section and he seen the ‘gang’ again. It was the same idiots that gave him the black eye. This was not going well. There was a reason he had decided to go to the bowling alley. Owen was hoping he could avoid this lot.
Owen was cool, he pretended to ignore them. “Gwen, why don’t you get us the shoes and the lane? I be right back,” he said walking to the male toilets. It was as clue the ‘gang’ spotted Owen and they decided to go that direction.
The gang walked in the men’s room, they saw it was empty. “Oh, we do know you are in here? Come on out and play.” The head guy kicked the door of the stall in, and Owen came swinging from the ceiling kicking the man in the face. The man fell back. He was not happy, he fell on the ground.
The gang stood there stunned at the quick defeat of their boss. The slowly turned to look at Owen who was standing there with his arms across his chest. Two of them lurched against Owen, shoving him in the stall. Owen was not prepared for that. He figured he won. The pulled him out of the stall, slammed him into the sink. There was a loud crash from the male toilets.
The two men brought Owen’s arms behind him, he screamed on that. It hurt. “We are going to break your face in! Do you hear me?” the second leader whisper softly in Owen’s left ear. And who knows the police could be nearby. But Gwen might hear this and we have to see if she do anything?
