Braxiatel is neither the friendliest nor the easiest person to get along with. He is also, by most people's estimation, untrustworthy. His notions of friendship are entirely his own, though when he manipulates someone it's usually for the greater good, or even (as Brax sees it) in the interests of that person. Probably a more accurate term for his friends would be associates, or allies. He'll often make political alliances too, but they're just that, partnerships of convenience.

Brax has plenty of enemies for various reasons. Envy, resentment, ambition, genuine personal dislike. He did earn the nickname "the Icicle" at the Academy and though he may have left the moniker behind, the attitude that inspired it is still there. That's not even mentioning all the people he's screwed over, tricked, shunted aside in the interests of his political career. He's stopped short of actually harming others, but that's about all he won't do.

He has a sort of hopeless (pathetic really) thing for Romana, but this doesn't preclude other romance, because deep down he knows it's hopeless. However, he's more attracted to power than anything else.
