.THE RULES!
I'm using the rules from another site of mine, because I'm lazy like that. I know there are lots of rules, but they are simple and easy to follow (mostly things that you should know already).
ACTIVITY
When you join we expect you to be active as possible. We understand that we all have a life outside the Internet, but please try to log and post at least once a week. Even if you don’t have muse to do a good post, at least post in the Out Of Character boards. That at least tells us you are here and interested. If you are going to be gone for some time, post in the Absences Board so we know and don’t delete your account by accident. Please just don’t register and then just leave, as that's rather annoying and no one likes that. If you really want to join then welcome aboard, but if you are just going to leave the moment you register, turn around. Yes it sounds mean but you wouldn’t believe how many people do that.
RESPECT
We are all here to have free fun. Fights and even drama in character are more than welcome. We even encourage drama like this because they keep the role play exciting! But drama between members and/or staff is now allowed. If two members are fighting, contact one of the staff members or more than one. If the discussion is between member and staff, contact the main admin, as I’ll always have the last word on the matter. Fights are unacceptable and if the staff is involved even more so. Everyone involved will receive a warning and a ban if things get out of hand. If you have a personal problem, put it aside and don’t let it get too far. Again, we’re all here to have fun, this type of thing just cause trouble for everyone else.
SITE RATING
This is a PG13 site! Proboards terms of service don’t allow anyone under 13 to even join this site. If you’re young, only join with parental permission. Any trouble that comes and you don’t have permission won’t be my business, I state it here and anyone that joins any Proboards site will know it. Now I want to keep our threads PG13. I don’t mind IC fighting, this is Doctor Who (people die there)! But when this happens, don’t make it excessively gory. If you know it's going to be a bad death or fight, try to keep the description simple and not too violent. If you want to do something like that, use message, PMs or whatever else you like. But don’t post it on the board itself.
CHARACTER LIMIT
I don’t like putting character limits on our members, we're such a big universe we have more than enough characters to go around! But we do have some rules to follow: First, when you have more than 2 original characters you have to take a canon one for your third. If you have 3 original females, your next original needs to be a male. As for canons if you pick one of the main canons, you can’t pick another one from that time until you have at least 4 characters and no one else has tried for it. For example, if you play the 11th Doctor you can’t pick Amy Pond, but you can pick someone like Jackie Tyler or maybe someone from classic who/spin-offs. Please try to keep gender ratios and canon/original ratios even!
PROFILE
I know this will be annoying for some but I do this for all my sites. One character per profile please. This rule may only be ignored if you play a group (Daleks/Cybermen etc.). I know it's a silly rule but I have my reasons. Every profile needs to have the character’s name (and middle/last name if they have one) an avatar of 150px x 200px, and a signature if you want. So when someone sees that name/picture they know who they’re playing with. I know some may say “But I have a bunch of characters!” The only thing I can say, if you have lots of characters, you probably won’t be able to keep them all active at once. Example, you may only log in into 2 every day the most, so I don’t think that would be a problem. When you make the account, simply use the character’s first name or the same name and add a number (like admin2 or doctor4) and use the same password so you won’t forget.
GOD-MODING
Anyone who has role-played before knows what this is. When you are playing with someone else, you don’t have any power over their actions unless that other person has stated otherwise. You can’t hurt, kill or affect the other character unless you have discussed it with their owner and they accepted. When you want to kill a character off, the staff has to be notified first. We don’t really mind originals, but killing a canon off will be very unlikely to happen. If you don’t want to play a character any more, put them up for adoption.
POSTING
I thought I had mentioned this. But here we go, posts don't have to be long, quality over quantity. But if you look around post here tend to be over 200 words(2 strong paragraphs). So that is what we expect from everyone, at least 200 words. We also expect the best grammar you can give, if you have trouble with that then ask a member/staff for help. I myself(Rose) would gladly look over post and help me if I can.
C-BOX
The c-box is for everyone to use. Avoid chatspeak, I don’t mind things like “lol”, expressions or whatever. But when writing words, use English and make sure others can understand it! For example, "lyk i t0tly agr33!!!!11" is not something that I want to see there. We also have advertising boards, so don’t advertise in there. In that note you shouldn’t even PM a member with an ad unless they asked you for it first.
