WHEN YOU'RE ALONE, SILENCE IS ALL YOU SEE,
WHEN YOU'RE ALONE, SILENCE IS ALL YOU'LL BE.
GIVE ME YOUR HEART TO COME TO ME.
Romana turned quickly towards the console, flickering some switched that opened a small screen on it. The Doctor rarely used the TARDIS archives, when asked once he had simply replied with an air of superiority that he didn’t agree with them. Romana secretly believed that the Doctor just enjoyed finding things out for himself. That knowing what was behind the curtain took out the fun of things. At first this had irritated Romana, going out there without at least checking of there were dangerous creatures(which really there usually were). But the longer she stayed with him, with the Doctor the more she enjoyed these surprise. The adventure began when you stepped outside, never expecting what was waiting for you.
But right now Romana needed to know what was out there, hopefully the TARDIS would have some information on them. She indeed had an article on the Weeping Angels, but the only information entered was stuff she already did. She turned back to K-9, her face blushing red. She was capable of doing things, but today she really wished the Doctor would be there to help. He was so much better at random thinking, coming up with plans when their loves were in danger. Romana was better at long term planning, thinking logically before jumping into things. But that wouldn’t be of much use when dawn was coming. Before she knew that angel out there would be able to move freely.
She looked at K-9, a fresh rush of fear cross her mind. She hadn’t thought about, it hadn’t even crossed her mind before. If the angel found out there was a TARDIS then they would be inn real danger. Not just London, not even the Earth but the universe at large. She needed to get the TARDIS out of here, whatever happened that angel couldn’t get it’s rocky hands on her. “K-9, I need a report on everything you know on the Weep0ing Angels.” She looked back at the entry in the TARDIS archives, there were no pictures of the weeping angel. That was strange, all of the alien and planetary entries had at least one image.
Thinking it over those who encountered the angels rarely(if any) saw their attacker. The person couldn’t be looking at the angel for it to be able to move. Once they were transported back in time they were unaware of ho it had even happened, or that a creature as old as the universe probably had done it. Even if the Time Lords had been able to get a picture, this was a Type 40, it probably wasn’t even up to date. She probably needed a maintenance check-up. But dropping back to Gallifrey would be risky with the Black Guardian hot on their heels, plus she knew that if they went back now they would force her to stay behind. Romana had no plans of staying in Gallifrey, there was steal too much out there to see, so many thing to learn.
K-9’s report was pretty much the same, nothing new and nothing that could help. If there was more than one angel she could trick them to look at each other. But they tended to travel alone and she couldn’t feel others around, thought she probably had walked right past that one. She had to sit down to be able to look at K-9. “K-9 I need to get the TARDIS out of here, I will contact you when you can get her back. It’s of extreme importance that the angel doesn’t get her.” She stopped to pull out a small microphone and earpiece, giving K-9, placing it on his collar. The later and placing the microphone on her coat. She patted the metal dog lovingly, there was a chance that she wouldn’t see him again. “Affirmative Mistress.[/I[ That the angel would get her and she would wake 100 years in the past, out of the Doctor’s reach.
She walked back into the corridors of the TARDIS, picking up a sonic screwdriver, energy field and a small gun that would open a whole. These were usually to get things across different locations in space, if she wasn’t able to trap it with other angels. Then maybe she could trap it in the heart of a planet or a star. She returned to the console room and nodded towards K-9. “Goodbye Mistress. “Goodbye K-9.” She walked out closing the blue doors behind it. The familiar dematerialization sound rang in her ears as she stepped back, he familiar blue box began to fade in out before it was fully gone.
She turned back to the direction he had just ran from. She needed to find that angel before it moved, maybe even that strange blonde Time Lady that reminded her of the Doctor. Even the possible other time traveler, right now some help would be wonderful. Asking to find the Doctor would probably be too much, but it wasn't an idea she was ready to ignore. She fully believe that the Doctor would have solved this quicker that what she was capable. He was for once more familiar with other aliens, the Universe.
