Destination: Earth Year: Winter, 2010 Location: London The Ghosts of London The scent of sulfur and ozone seemed determined to cling to her nose as the cerulean eyed woman pulled at the smoking strap of the Vortex Manipulator at her wrist. Energy was still discharging about body her as coppery backlashes of electricity crackled vengefully against her shaded silhouette. Issildia’s mouth tasted like vinegar, sharp and acrid with a hint of metal lacing her tongue. A sharp exhale cleared the harsh scent from her nostrils before a cough ricocheted out of her throat to stain the asphalt coated earth with a dribble of blood. Time travel was horribly misrepresented on New Earth where everyone was caught up in some foolish dream of paradise. The vortex was not a kind place, only the Time Lords had mastered travel through that unforgiving realm , and their methods did not include the impractical and miniscule Vortex Manipulator that clung to her burn marked wrist. The manipulator was a child’s attempt at the impressive TARDIS ships that had once roamed the universe in force. Now, according to the human records, only one remained. Issildia could certainly conceive why her masters sought the Doctor and his machine so vehemently.
A shiver passed through her body as the more lasting effects of time travel dissipated, her eyes closing briefly before reopening to take in the scenery before her.
Shadows fell in heavy swathes amid the tumbling motes of dust about her coated figure. It took but an instant before her eyes came to adjust to the dim brick lined alleyway. From the slit of light where the corridor opened up into a bustling street Issildia was rewarded with the sight of winter flourishing amid the city of London. Snow was not falling presently, but it clung in desperate heaps at the edges of the streets, a dirtied and a rather unpleasant brown color. As she had intended it was the coldest season of the year at the start of 2010. Humans were idling about the sidewalks ahead, bundled in heavy wool lined coats with scarves obscuring their faces. The cold had never bothered Issildia all that much; she did not all together understand why, evidently another effect of her engineered birth. To be quite direct, the huntress was not fully aware of her genetic heritage, merely that her masters referred to her as something ‘more than human’. Issildia thought little on it, it was not her purpose to question the manner of her creation, Torchwood held that information and had made it quite clear that they would never be passing those details on to her. Perhaps deep down somewhere in the obscurity of her mind there was the faintest ray of curiosity, but it was soon smothered with the unyielding presence of her mission. Low heeled boots clacked on the rime coated asphalt as Issildia moved out of the shadow drenched alley.
The humans fluttered about the city, their arms loaded down with packages, purses, children and all manner of things. Scents assaulted the woman, her gait fluid and undeniably decisive as she protectively wrapped the rather weather weary leather coat she wore tightly about her sharp edged frame. The smell of cooking , oil burning, and even a hint of cinnamon from some of the street side shops rolled past. Issildia slowed her pace, allowing her mind to take in every detail that she could possible glean. She had been dropped into an unfamiliar time period, with the impossible task of hunting down an elusive Time Lord, nothing could be looked over, every detail was a clue leading towards the mysterious shadow she now chased.
Years of the Institute’s ‘education program’ had instructed Issildia in the delicate art of the hunt. First and foremost, she mustn’t chase ghosts and waste her precious time. It was far better to locate areas that could be utilized as temporary bases for her to operate from, and to gather as much intelligence as possible before boldly leaping into the field.
Distantly the tinkling of a miniature silver bell snapped the female back to the here and now as a couple brushed past her out of a nearby tea house, the smell of Oolong tea rippling outwards in their wake. Voices pattered out from the swinging door like the soft footsteps of a grazing doe. Cobalt orbs flickered in subdued interest as Issildia hastily pulled the sleeve of her coat over the gleaming dials of the Manipulator at her wrist. Again the petite little bell rang as the coated female slid into the mottled shadows of the shop which was crowded tight with several white painted tables with matching chairs. There were few people clustered within the comfortable glass fronted store, most of them bunched up against the walls, their faces obscured by the lack of proper lighting.
Long digits slid into an inner pocket of her coat to withdraw a sleek ivory card that looked a great deal like what the patrons had been paying for their drinks with. Save for there was no writing on it except for some foreign lettering in silvery ink on its front. The card did little good in later time periods when money came in the form of paper, gold or a bartered chicken, but in this particular year it served well enough to fool the archaic human computer systems. Of course the card could do little more than trick a cash register; but it did just fine in putting a hot cup of Earl Grey in her hands. With that, the sapphire eyed woman settled down into a chair near the door where she could easily look out the window. Right now, there was little else she could do, but watch and remain patient. Grudgingly Issildia acknowledged that this might very well be how the first days of the hunt would play out, clothed in both silence, and boredom.
Either way, Time ticks.

WHEN YOU'RE ALONE, SILENCE IS ALL YOU SEE, WHEN YOU'RE ALONE, SILENCE IS ALL YOU'LL BE. GIVE ME YOUR HEART TO COME TO ME. The TARDIS felt strange without the Doctor around, even when he wasn’t talking you could still hear him tinkering away with the TARDIS or K-9. After a close meeting with the Daleks, the Doctor had landed her on Earth, Romana wasn’t completely sure where thought. She had been tired, there was mud in her clothes and after running from the Daleks the only thing she wanted was a bath and some rest. Time Lords didn’t sleep as much as humans, but Time Lords still needed rest now and then. Romana had waved the Doctor goodbye from the corridor, walking back to her room along side K-9 who would be staying behind with her. After the wick showed, Romana had fallen asleep fairy quickly.
Now three hours later she was fully awake and dressed, K-9 right besides her. The Doctor hadn’t returned to the TARDIS yet. Romana was a bit worried, but it wouldn’t be rare for the Doctor to get distracted. Plus if he got himself in trouble(which was very likely knowing him), the Doctor could contact K-9. Romana decided to look outside the TARDIS, London, Earth. Of course if they were visiting the Doctor’s favorite planet, they would end up visiting the Doctor’s favorite city. She guessed they were in the early 21st century, probably around Earth’s winter time. Or at least close to it. Romana returned back inside quickly, picking a coat and scarf on the way.
She sat down, looking down at K-9. It was too early for the Earth, waking out with a machine like K-9 would bring attention. Romana sometimes didn’t care much about fitting(the Doctor was having a bad impact on her), but without the Doctor it would be best not too. Plus with K-9 still inside the TARDIS he could inform the Doctor about Romana going out. She hoped to be in before he came buck, but the Doctor wasn’t one to follow plans, even when he knew them. With a tap of her tin friend Romana ran back outside. She wasn’t crazy about the smell, the Earth could be nice. But by this century the toxic gases were already filling the air. The humans wouldn’t be fully aware of them, but for a Time Lord it wasn’t so easy.
Some of the passing humans looked at her(probably because of her choice of dress). But they were either very good at ignoring the strange or didn’t care at all. Humans we4re like that, when they couldn’t understand something their either acted like they couldn’t see it or destroyed it. She couldn’t blame them, Earth was still just another level 5 planet. Humans were still but children compared to many civilizations out there, one day in their far future their empire would spread. But Romana guessed that they would never stop being children, afraid of the dark. As much as the Doctor liked them, humans were well known for their at times destructive life patterns. Still the Earth was nice enough to visit now and then.
Never as beautiful as Gallifrey of course, Romana had been avoiding her home planet. But she loved Gallifrey, its two suns, field of red grass that spread across the planet. The large silver trees that stretched up and oh winter was beautiful in Gallifrey. She felt a bit homesick now, but she still had much to see. No matter how much she missed Gallifrey she wanted to see the Universe, travel with the Doctor and learn things that in Gallifrey she wouldn’t be able to. As she walked on Romana thought about looking for the Doctor. A quick search for alien tech would do the trick, but Romana also wanted some time for herself. Being around the Doctor almost made it impossible to look around, not when you were running away from something.
Romana could deny that it was fun, but just relaxing and looking around could be interesting. She saw them, the humans moving on with their lives. Not even knowing about all the species that lived out there, about all the alien forms and technology they couldn’t even imagine exist. She finally ended in one of the many shops, it was very simple Romana thought. But she could do with a warm cup of tea, Time Lords were able to survive cold temperatures better4 than humans. But after walking around the city she was starting to feel the low temperatures. She slipped in, sitting in one of the free tables. Next to her was another one, there was another human there.
But Romana didn’t paid her much attention. She was busy looking at her purse, taking out small bills, coins and other form of currency from different planets and times. She hoped she had some Earth currency at hand. She smiled at last taking out some bills, the Doctor himself had given them to her. Unfortunately for someone who was around humans for so long, he hadn’t been completely sure about how it all worked. Romana picked two of the large bills, hoping that it would be enough for the tea. When she paid, the woman simply looked at her rose an eyebrow and walked away. Romana hadn’t been sure if it had been enough, but when she later returned with it she guessed it had been enough. Romana took a large sip from it, her face lighting up with a smile. “Well one thing Erath did well was tea, Gallifrey will never have something like this.”

APRIL SHOWERS BRING MAY FLOWERS ( • I H A V E S E E N R A I N B E F O R E • ) She smirked as the small shuttle landed. It was quite the day for Jenny, and honestly she was ready to rest a while. She had been running, all day long, with her dad, and his companion, to find that he’d leave, and leave her with disappointment. She sighed a bit, and jumped out of the shuttle. Then she ran to the nearest store. Surely she had enough intelligence to get a new outfit. With a slight smirk, she grabbed the first thing she saw. A pair of jeans, and some hoodie. It wasn’t like she cared what people thought. She “bought” it and changed into the supposed outfit. Then, she decided she’d do some exploring, while she was where she was. She walked around, until she found a sort of café , in which people were. She smiled, as she ran over there, and sat.
”Hello there!” She said with a smile. ”I’m Jenny.” She said, holding her hand out. She smirked a bit, and just looked at the people infront of her, whom she had no idea were. Then she started swaying back and forth in the chair, which she found quite entertaining. ”Hmm. Fun.” She said too herself, continuing. Then, she took her purse, which looked like an owl, or a fox, she really wasn’t sure, and started fidgeting with it. This was certainly knew for her, just being born on Messaline the day before of course. She continued to stare at the people infront of her confusedly, and waited for something to happen. As a person with a notepad approached, she starred at her oddly. ”Eh? Hello, I’m Jenny!” She shouted, with a smile. She wasn’t sure if the person with the notepad was a kind person who liked meeting new people, because she just rolled her eyes. ”Did I do anything wrong?” She asked confusedly. It made her wonder if there was something she was doing that annoyed the woman, or something she was doing that bothered her. For whatever the reason, Jenny felt she needed to apologize. ”I’m sorry!” She shouted. ”I’m just sort of new to this getting out alone thing!” She explained. Then she realized something. Every teenager knew what to do at a café. She growled, a bit, and sighed. ”I’ll have uh, hot coca.” She said, looking at the menu. Then she gave the waitress her menu, and slumped back in her seat.
She waited for the waitress to come back, and paid her, with what she hoped was the correct thing to do. She had done it with the hoodie, and hoped this was right. She smirked a bit, as the lady left, and took a sip out of her hot coca. She looked at the people infront of her, and yet again, smiled a bit. They seemed nice enough, and she was sure she’d enjoy meeting them. She hoped they’d reply to her, and at least she’d meet two new people in this strange place. She took another sip from her drink, and slipped even firther into her seat. Then a person infront of her made a comment about tea, and she smiled a bit. ”Tea is tasty, I suppose.” She said with a smile. ”Its really quite soothing when you’ve had a long day, and just need to relax. When you drink it, its like all of your troubles fade away She said with a smile, looking at the lady trying to make conversation. That would be the polite thing to do right? Even if it was about something as ridiculous as tea. It was still conversation, and that is what mattered. She smiled a bit, and payed attention to what she’d have to say next, that is if she said anything

There ain't no rest for the wicked Till we close out eyes for good
Gallifrey…
The word was like a trumpet blaring out its existence amid an orchestra of singing crickets. Issildia suppressed the instinct to snap her head directly towards the speaker, her eye lids fluttering briefly before that cool silver rimmed gaze moved slowly towards the woman. Her grip tensed about the cup of tea before relaxing, instincts screaming at her to act. No, she had to be calm, there was a better way in which to get the answers she desired. Another sip, the sugarless bitter liquid rolling down her throat before another female entered the tea shop.
Her blond locks swayed about her shoulders, and her gait was so chipper that even the huntress’s attention was stolen away from her mark to silently gawk at the youth. Disdain was the only expression she could proffer before Issildia returned the steaming cup back to her mouth to hide her open scorn. A slow exhale left her lungs as her thoughts became regimented and relaxed. All she need do was insinuate herself into a conversation with the woman who had mentioned Gallifrey..that ancestral home of the Time Lords. There was no reason to consider any further thoughts until she managed to establish herself as a trustworthy acquaintance.
Abruptly her thoughts were broken as the overtly high spirited girl plopped down near Issildia and the other woman. A single onyx eyebrow arched as the girl dressed in a gray hooded sweater and jeans began to speak, meandering on about tea, as though this was the first time she had ever been in a tea shop. A subdued sigh slid past Issildia’s lips as she finally reached a decision of her own.
“If only that were true.” The huntress cut in sharply in reply to the blonde teen, her tone edged in a wreath of frost. Her accent was clearly from some area within the UK, but it was faintly different, the pitching off by just a subtle difference. It was no fault of Issildia’s nor was she putting on a façade. But to say that the English accent had not changed in some millions of years would be ridiculous.
~Outside the glass fronted shop statues and fountains ringed the streets, their leering shadows cast darkly over the passing pedestrians. A boy, no older than eight wrapped in a blue jumper and scarf suddenly wandered away from his mother’s side as she stopped to talk with another human that evidently knew her. “Ben, don’t wander off” The mother chirped, her auburn locks swaying in the wintry wind before turning back to her conversation.
The blond little boy turned to her for just a second, his face screwing up in half smile before turning sharply back towards an imposing marble fountain adored with stone figures. Clumsily he climbed over the chain separating the fountain from being touched by the public and dipped his hands playfully in the water.
Soon enough he had filled his hands with nearby rocks and had started lobbing them over into the water with an icy splash. It seemed that his mother was done dispatching warnings to him and was utterly engrossed in her chat with another woman. Little Ben was crouched over near the side of the fountain, his hands pale from the cold of the water, but his fun hardly diminished as he continued to plop rocks into the water with gratifying splashes. The sunlight glared brightly down on his head, the boy gladly taking in the warmth. The splashing continued gleefully as cars continued to pass, his laughter a pleasant trill.
Yet his fun was rather abruptly interrupted as a shadow fell heavily over his head. Ben stopped only for a moment to look up, supposing that the sun had shifted behind a cloud. Yet nothing had changed; it seemed merely that the central stone figure that stood at the summit of the fountain was closer than before, but perhaps it was only a trick of the light.
Ben looked up his eyes adjusting to the dark to see the glare of the sun casing a bight halo about the figure of a winged angel posed serenely with its hands clapped over its eyes. ..

WHEN YOU'RE ALONE, SILENCE IS ALL YOU SEE, WHEN YOU'RE ALONE, SILENCE IS ALL YOU'LL BE. GIVE ME YOUR HEART TO COME TO ME. Time Lords were able to identify each other, no matter where they went. Once a Time Lord was near by another could detect their presence. It was important that they did, for a race that change their appearance so often they needed a way to identify each other. For that reason alone, the moment the blonde woman had walked into the shop Romana had looked up. Her mouth dropped slightly, she could feel it but she wasn‘t sure how it had happened. Romana followed the girl until she sat down. As she spoke the other female sitting down also spoke. At first Romana had ignored her, thinking of her as being another human. But now she noticed that the scent wasn’t that of a human. There were traits of human it was obvious, but there was also traits of something else.
It wasn’t unnatural for humans to be genetically altered, but that would happen for hundreds of years to come. She guessed that this one was probably some sort of Time Agent, the agency had been popular dying the 51st century. Romana needed to remember and inform the Doctor, the Time Lords needed to be more aware of the agency if they were using such genetically engineered humans. She then looked back at the blonde girl, with even more interest than before. Everything screamed Doctor, it wasn’t unnatural for them to change sexes when regenerating. Most time lords chose the original humanoid form they were loomed with, but they could even change that.
“Doctor, what happened?” Romana looked at the blonde, she’d never been more worried before. If the Doctor had regenerated, then something most have injured him to the point that he was about to die. She could already hear K-9 worried response, she herself was worried. This girl who smelled and felt just like him hadn’t shown any sign of recognition. It couldn’t be a past incarnation, Romana had seen pictures of the Doctor three previous bodies. So if the girl was really the Doctor he/she could be suffering from some type of amnesia. It wasn’t rare for Time Lords to suffer amnesia after regeneration, a quick trip to the Zero room would probably fix it. Romana tried to think back t9o all she had learned in the academy, all about troubles after regeneration. She’d gone through one not that long ago, of course hers had gone quite smooth.
Romana needed to be strong right now, they were surrounded by humans. She looked across the other woman. She couldn’t be human so there was a chance she could be of help to them. But she also wasn’t sure if she could trust anyone with information about the Time Lords. Specially if they were time travelers too. She turned back to the girl(the Doctor, it had to be him). “Yes tea, yea is good for us. Look I don’t know if you remember me, I’m Romana. We’re friends, very good friends.” Romana lowered her voice even more now. “I’m a Time Lord like you Doctor, I’ll get K-9, he’ll be able to help you.” Romana smiled, she wanted to be reassuring. If the Doctor couldn’t remember then she wasn’t sure if he/she would even trust her.
Romana was feeling very guilty now, if only she’d gone with the Doctor. Then maybe they had been able to avoid it, of course she could have died too. But the Doctor would have frowned at that, she needed to stay positive. Romana moved to stand, feeling a shill go down her spine. Romana was forced to sit back down, there had been a slip in time. Every cell in her body, had screamed just there. Time was part of a Time Lord, any changes they could feel. Past, present and future. To a human it would drive them insane, but Time Lords were born for it. She looked around, forgetting the Doctor and everyone else in the room. There was something wrong, Time Lords could feel other creatures that like them were part of time in some way or another.
She couldn’t fully understand, but she was sure it wasn’t Time Lord or human. There was something else out there, her eyes felt on a stone angel. Something she was sure hadn’t been there when she had entered the shop. Romana knew she had stood up, she was walking out of the shop. It seemed like a dream, but it was calling her. Time itself was calling her, she wanted to touch it. The stone figure, it reminded her of something from another life. Or maybe something she had read in Gallifrey, a picture maybe. She could feel it in her head, another Time Lord mind far away. The Doctor. But then who had been in the shop? That’s when the trance broke, that hadn’t been the Doctor. She could feel him, but she could also feel that other Time Lord.

Maybe tonight we'll fly so far awayWe'll be lost before the dawn Her blood ran cold, utterly the essence of the winter surrounding London as the strange woman had said that name…The Doctor. The voice reverberating within Issildia’s mind like the crescendo of a magnificent avalanche before the unusual female came to her feet, her footsteps heralding the jingling of the silver shop bell as she stepped outside. Instincts roared in Issildia’s ears with an irritating buzz as the huntress fought back the inclination to leap after the woman. No, she must remain calm, this woman obviously knew the Doctor or was an associate of his, chasing after her would do little good if the female learned of Issildia’s true intentions. As she watched the woman exit the shop, there was the strangest stirring at the very back of her mind, like a dragon rousing from its slumber. A moment of the faintest recognition rose towards the dark blond, Issildia’s eyes following her oddly dressed figure out of the shop. The sleeping tendril of thought awakened for only the faintest of moment before it laid back down into slumber, Issildia casting aside the peculiarity immediately as her ocean tinged gaze fell upon a stone figure leaning over a marble edged fountain. Her breath caught in her throat as a recollection so distant thrummed amid her thoughts.
~~~
She recalled her younger years, when she had been no older than fifteen, her mentor, handler and personal tormentor Rorek holding a holo-disk lightly in his hands. His face creasing into a wrinkled frown as the miniature light based image of a stone angel stood on the metal dist. Issildia remembered clearly his voice that day. Years she had been educated in the vast and unique life forms across the universe, and more specifically how to relieve them of their life-force with the least amount of effort. Yet today’s lecture had nothing to do with killing, Issildia had secretly reveled in that moment free of carnage and cruelty as Rorek taught her about the elusive Weeping Angels. Torchwood had known no other name to call the creatures by, but the Institute had known well enough what the beasts were capable of.
The memory was crystal clear of how her mentor had educated his pupil in how to contend with these monsters, the greatest assassins in the universe…
“Running is your only option, these creatures are incapable of being killed in any fashion. So don’t be stupid.” Rorek uttered blithely with a subtle tinge of disdain. He had paused then, looking down upon his student with those frigid gray eyes that had made her skin crawl. “And never blink, blink and you’re dead.”
~~~ Issildia was brought back into the present as she stood to tip the cup of tea into a nearby bin, her hand curling comfortingly about the concealed hilt of the S-Class blade at her belt.
The metallic tinkling of a bell rang again. The creature was bold to make its way out into the center of London, but then again perhaps it only moved at night. The huntress then turned swiftly as she cleared the door, to look around the busy street corner. Statues adored rooftops everywhere, half of them appearing to be renditions of winged figures. There was no telling if this creature had brothers lurking elsewhere. It was late into the afternoon with the sun descending towards the horizon, Issildia looked briefly at the Vortex Manipulator at his wrist, switching the interface over to a simple clock dial. The interface gave a global readout of every time zone, including the current one she was in, listed in bold with a smaller readout at the bottom counting down till sunset. Three hours left it seemed, not to say the beastie could not move until then, he simply had to be dead fast when all eyes were off of him…or her rather.
The leather tresses of her coat swayed idly about her ankles as Issildia moved towards the fountain where the odd woman was standing.
The boy playing at the fountain, Ben looked over his shoulder, jumping slightly as he realized that people were now standing behind him. Realizing that his fun was probably over he hastily wiped his hands dry on his pants before he dashed over to his mother who was still steeped in conversation.
Issildia watched with silent interest as the little boy dashed away from the fountain before her azure gaze flickered back to the ominous winged figure leaning over the fountain.
What could you possibly be doing here… she thought as her eyes again quickly glanced over the statues hanging off rooftops and those that looked over the horizon from lampposts, anticipating a threat from them as well.
Issildia was mere feet behind the woman who sported the odd pinkish coat. She spoke then, her voice cool like the languid mountain spring breaking free from its frozen wintry prison. “I wouldn’t get any closer, if I were you.” Issildia cautioned, announcing her presence with a faint tensing of her lips into a half simpering smile. She made no illusions about what she had said, better that this woman who knew of the Doctor confide in Issildia as a fellow traveler who knew of things beyond Old Earth understanding than she consider the huntress an enemy.

WHEN YOU'RE ALONE, SILENCE IS ALL YOU SEE, WHEN YOU'RE ALONE, SILENCE IS ALL YOU'LL BE. GIVE ME YOUR HEART TO COME TO ME. Romana looked at the angel carefully. She was more than capable of handling her own ground in danger. But never before had she wished more to have the Doctor around. Romana couldn’t tell if the Doctor had met the creatures before. But every Time Lord was taught the old tales about the weeping angels since they were but Time tots. Those who weren’t ended up learning about them in the academy from the other student. They were the stories that parents would tell their children to get them to do something. One thing was clear, those who came across a Weeping Angel weren’t likely to escape. Romana was afraid, she was very afraid. Right now they would be safe, yes were everywhere, But the night was probably near, when the lights went out you couldn’t see anything.
Time Lords who were part of time, who had such a long life spam were probably buffets to a weeping angel. Romana wanted to run, run and run and hide away in the TARDIS. Then take of with the Doctor and K-9, away from the planet and the era. But she’d been around the Doctor for too long, the idea of leaving the angel to hurt innocent humans wouldn’t allow her to move. She had to think of something, find the Doctor would be a good idea. But she wasn’t sure where to begin looking, to detect alien technology she needed to go back to the TARDIS. Get K-9 and the equipment they needed. But Romana couldn’t tell how long that would take, if the angel escaped before she made it back. Plus a nasty voice was telling her in her head that maybe she wouldn’t even had the strength to get back.
Romana had to hold her head, stopping herself from closing her eyes as a rush of pain traveled down her body. That voice had been familiar, like something from a dream. Or a nightmare. Romana struggled a bit before regaining her composure, she was a Time Lady. The creature was powerful, she couldn’t deny it. But there had to be a way to stop it. Gallifrey would have been a sure target for the angels, but somehow the Time Lords had been able to keep them out of the planet. Out of the their ships. Romana knew she had to go back to the TARDIS, it was the only way. Get K-9 and go into the archives, try and find some information. If that didn’t work there was only one option left.
She had to contact the Time Lords, they wouldn’t be happy. Romana would have been forced to go back to Gallifrey, probably face some very angry Time Lords. She was afraid that the whole thing would be blamed on the Doctor, who was supposed to look after her and return her to Gallifrey after the mission had been completed. But it was a risk that Romana knew she had to take. Leaving a creature like a weeping angel on such a populated planet would have horrible results. Her mind had been made, she looked around for the blonde Time Lady(it had to be a Time Lord, Doctor or not.). “I have to get to the TARDIS quickly.” She hoped she had heard, she could do with all the help she could get right now. With all of Rassilon and Omega’s power. Ro0mana hoped that the Doctor was back in the TARDIS.
She was running, her boots clicking on the pavement. Humans looked at her, some threw a few insults her way as she pushed hurryingly though the crowds. Burt she paid them very little attention, she had to make it into the TARDIS before the sun went down. She needed to find a way to stop the creature before it was able to move again. With their speed Romana guessed it would take them years to find it again. Why did humans had to keep so many stoned angels around, it was a perfect hiding place for the creature. Finally Romana could see it, the blue box. Standing there, ignored by the passing humans. She smiled, speeding up more now. She pulled the small silver key from one of her pockets, opening the Doctor and running inside.
K-9 was where she’d left him. There was no sign of the Doctor in the console room, asking K-9 only confirmed her worries that he wasn’t back yet. It was so like the Doctor not to be around when she needed him. She turned back to the console, Doctor or now she needed to find a way to stop it quickly. She hoped that luck would finally take her side and the archives would give her some information. Romana was afraid, with a loose Weeping Angel only fools wouldn’t. But she needed to stay focused on the situation, but if only the skull breaking pain would stop. The voice was gone, but she could still feel something on the back of her mind.

These wounds won't seem to heal This pain is just too realThere's just too much that time cannot erase Her heart thundered faster than seemed possible as adrenaline screamed with delight throughout her circulatory system. They strange woman that she had approached had bolted off in the opposite direction, her voice claiming what the huntress’s suppositions had suggested, the ivory coated woman was in retreat towards the Doctor’s TARDIS. White puffs of vapor slid with an eerie softness out past her lips into the sheer cold of the evening light. Her body was tensed like a sharply tuned harp string, like the mountain feline perched to assail a fawn who had foolishly wandered from its mother’s side. Crystaline blue eyes glittered with an unearthly famine, tracing silently the path of one Romana as the pallid female charged like a panicked equine through the muddled pedestrians clinging to the sidewalks.
A placid huff of air escaped her lips as a lightly traced smile edged into existence, Issildia allowing her gaze to slide back up along the dark silhouette of the weeping angel. There was a strikingly clear hum of disturbing intent woven into her tone as the huntress stared with a look of almost admiration towards the lethal stone encased creature.
“I think… that you and I….shall be very good friends…” She whispered darkly.
Again her hand slid with a most faded sense of worry over the hilt of the weapon at her waist, the female humanoid knew she was playing with dangerous cards now, cards that could very well be dragging her to her own death. But she had now a stunning hand to play, and Issildia could not resist the chance that had been set before her.
The same chilling smile that crossed her features seemed almost teasing as she made the drawn out point to slowly turn her back on the angel, heels clicking on the frost laced street. She would be back quite soon, hopefully after night had begun to fall.
Issildia then took full advantage of the adrenaline racing through her system, her onyx coated body shooting off across the shaded streets of London in the wake of her prey, who she could only hope was now within the TARDIS itself. Her gait was swift and light, pausing only at the tea shop window, that almost luminescent cerulean gaze falling on the blond teen who had spoken to them in the shop. Issildia could feel it in her blood, that same slumbering entity in her mind rising again as though in recognition. “Who are you…?” Issildia whispered, musingly just beneath her breath, there was something so utterly important about this young girl that she was missing…something that she ought to know. Wordlessly she wracked her brain for an answer to only come up completely blank. This stark blond girl was an enigma…one that required solving Issildia decided. Perhaps the girl would play a larger part in this day than the huntress realized; still she had a chase to resume…and a stupidly dangerous venture approaching with the decent into the night. Her departure was only marked by the soft click of her boots dissipating into the dying light.~

The iron rasped uncomfortable against her palms, the rust staining her hands with a coppery tinge as a coated figure towed herself up the last rung of the maintenance ladder. The low rooftop of a smartly bricked building lay before her now, dirt and stay bits of garbage were strewn about. It was not an overtly pleasant place, but Issildia had chosen it for the sole reason that a block away, just barely within view was a rather conspicuous blue telephone box. Again the woman checked for the fiftieth time whether anyone had followed her out of simple curiosity. Yes, she was unnervingly nervous, but with the TARDIS within actual sight, her mission seemed to enter the realm of the possible which had set her blood aflame with anticipation.
It had taken some time to track down the woman she now pursued, watching for the tell tale signs of pedestrians murmuring about a female bolting through their ranks. But here she was, like a carrion bird perched to descend upon the waiting prize below should the opportunity emerge. Her breath caught in her throat with keenness for those ever so blue doors to open. Issildia came to kneel down to a single knee at the very lip of the rooftop overlooking the phone box; her body obscured from sight save for her raven haired head which watched the streets below with dire interest.
Now everything depended on the next few moments, her entire life…years of Torchwood’s “education” coming into flower here within the freezing grasp of London…Issildia Nevar’s entire future now hung delicately in the hands of fate.
