I've been thinking about re-opening this site again since I've found myself with some extra time lately. But I wanted to get some things across first.
1. One of the reasons why I had to temporary clos ethe site is because my co-mod disappeared after some computer troubles and I found myself running the site on my own with very limited time. This would have been fine if some other things had not happened.
2. Member drama. I do have other projects outside my role-playing so I can't babysit my sites all the time. The other reason why I closed was unwanted member drama. Any returning member wuill remember some drama between some of our members that scared some away and others joined another site.
I will be a lot more extrict since I'm on my own. I see some drama boiling and I'll call those involved on it. If it doesn't stop both parties will be banned. We all have problems, but this is a site to enjoy ourselves in our love for Doctor Who. Anything personal and private should be kept outside the site.
3. OC/Applications. I don't mind OC. But I'll be more picky with them. Mainly because I don't want Mary Sues/Gary Stus running around. If you wnat to make a companion for a Doctor or a family member (it is unlikely I will accept the later if they are closely related and makes very little sense) contact me first.
4. Posting/Activity. Activity is always a problem. But without it the site dies. Anyone who is playing a major canon needs to log-in and post (even if it is on the OOC boards) at least three times a week. That is to tell me you are still around. If you don't have muse, just post in those other boards. Look around new threads, watch an episode that always helps my muse. If you are waiting for a reply do the same, if the person hasn't replied in over a week maybe PM them to see what is going on. If they can't reply try joining another thread or at least plot with others.
OC/minor canons need to do this too but at leats twice a week. Just if you know you aren't gping to be active don't take the Tenth doctor. Take someone smaller. A character like that needs to be active because they are involved with lots of other canons. Start small and if you find yourself with more time take a big canon.
I may come across as a bit mean here. But I've seen some of this things happen far too often, even if they are in our rules. I want the site to work out, I hate closing a site, but unless the members and staff work hard to keep them going they die.
If anyone wants to add anything else, have some concern or disagree feel free to post here.
