Having enemies is like holding grudges. People may be after his blood, but if they bother him, he kills them, and then they stop. Feel free to be his enemy though. Worming his way into people’s hearts and minds is a game, to him. His own love is one of possession, obsession, and a fierce protectiveness. However, the only person who’s ever gained that now calls himself Jack Harkness.

Hmmm...could do. Only, I can't see John as being the type to call for help. Bring it to Jack and dump it on him, yes. Ask him for help? Hmmm....well, in his own way, perhaps. xP
Though...Some plot ideas are wandering around, I have to say xP

Good point. Yeah I can see it that way. Sort of being dumped on him, but he probably wouldn't ask out right for help.
I have to admitt...I suck at plotting outright. I just have little plot ideas floating around.
But I was thinking maybe sometime after the events of "Children of the Earth?", perhaps they run into each other while Jack is out investigating some things on his own?

I always could see John as being a reason for Jack to return to Earth after CoE. Like...John's on the run from this big thingymabobby he did, runs into Jack, they have fun together for a bit, then John runs on to Earth after realising he's still being chased, because Earth's a low level planet, or something. Just a random theory, but hey, I liked it xP
Or somewhere in Season Two, perhaps, after KKBB, but before Exit Wounds. Despite that probably involving Gray, it could be entertaining. One idea Owen came up with was that John sent the toxic plant to Torchwood, through the rift.

Hmm I do like the first idea. It would probably take Jack's mind off of everything that happened in COE. I could definitely see it happening and it could sort of remind Jack of the time they were stuck in the time loop.
Owen's idea would also work and that thread could definitely be open to any torchwood members. It would no doubt be very entertaining.
But I'm definitely liking the first idea. And it would provide a great explanation for Jack returning to earth as you said...

The second idea would probably include quite a bit of "Oops, was that me?" from a very innocent looking John xP
I'm up for doing that then xP Not only would it provide a reason for him returning, but it would give a wide range of opportunities for threads before he returns. Causing trouble in space. Lolz.
