SARAH JANE SMITH !
confident - courageous - sharp - intelligent - leader

As you may have guessed, my name is Sarah Jane Smith, but almost everyone calls me no nicknames. She goes by her name.. I was born May 1951, so that makes me just about 60. Don’t be alarmed, but I am a(n) Human.
ARE YOU REALLY HAPPY
---------------------------
WITH THE PERSON THAT YOU SEE IN THE MIRROR
Though she's in her late fifties to early sixties, Sarah Jane really doesn't look as old as that, but she doesn't look completely youthful either. While her shoulder-length brown hair has no gray in it, her face betrays her age, as she has a few laugh lines around her dark eyes and mouth. Sarah Jane is not a tall woman, only 5'4". She chooses not to wear much makeup, if any at all, except when she goes on a date, which is wear.
Her clothing style is far from stylish, but she doesn't care. She dresses for her comfort and not for other people. Her wardrobe consists of casual clothes, like jeans and long sleeved blouses, of different colors. Sometimes she'll wear a black vest or some kind of a jacket. Seeing her in a skirt or dress is rare. For shoes, she favors boots or flat bottomed shoes, not necassarily tennis shoes. Just comfortable shoes that allows her to run if she needs to.
AND SO WE REACH A NEW POINT
---------------------------
IN THE PATH OF LIFE, DEATH AND IMMORTALITY
When she traveled with the Doctor, Sarah was confident, inquisitive and possesed a sharp mind and a sharp tongue. Back then, she had been a bit of a feminist, getting infuriated when The Doctor asked her to get coffee and she sometimes got into arguments with Harry Sullivan for his chauvinistic attitudes toward her. Sarah was never fanatical with it though, so it didn't get in the way of her forming friendships with Harry or the Doctor.
She is a caring and friendly person. She cares deeply for Luke and worries about him when things get really dangerous. She also cares for Rani and Clyde. Sarah has been known to try and befriend aliens that aren't trying to destroy the Earth.
She is intelligent and knowlegeable on many different types of aliens.
One of the main things that Sarah Jane did not like was being called Sarah. She corrects those that try and only The Doctor is able to call her Sarah without an objection.
HOW CAN WE EVER TELL A TALE
---------------------------
IF WE STILL DON'T KNOW ITS BEGINNING AND END
Sarah Jane Smith was born in May 1951. Her parents, Eddie and Barbara Smith, played a very brief role in her life. In August of that same year, they abandoned her to go save the world from the trickster. A few minutes after they left, though, they hit a tractor and were killed. She was then sent to live with her auntie, Lavinia Smith, who was a virologist.
When she was a child, she had a fear of clowns due, mainly, to a clown puppet that she had in her room. During thunderstorms, she swore that it would move. Later in life she found out it was being manipulated. On July 13, 1964, Sarah Jane lost someone extremely close to her. She was out on a school outing and her best friend, Andrea, slipped off a pier and was killed. It devastated her.
At age 23, She posed as her aunt, she infiltrated a UNIT controlled facility where scientists had gone missing, which was when she met Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart and the man that changed her life forever, The Doctor. At first, she was suspicious of him, so she stowed away in his TARDIS and was transported back in time to defeat the Sontaran that kidnapped the scientists.
She had many adventures with the Doctor, on Earth and other planets. They were terrifying, but she still did enjoy them. On a trip in Metabellis III, The Doctor was exposed to radiation and left her. Sarah Jane had left for sure that he was dead, but then he returned and he regenerated right in front of her. She teamed up with him to stop people that were using a robot to kill people. A new companion joined them, a brilliant doctor by the name of Harry Sullivan, and they had many adventures with him.
Sadly, Sarah Jane's time with the Doctor came to an end when he was summoned back to Gallifrey. As a human, she wasn't allowed to go back there. The Doctor dropped her off in Aberdeen, Scotland by mistake. He thought it was near her flat in South Croydon. The Doctor gave her K-9 Mark III as a companion and keepsake and she unpacked him and activated him shortly before Christmas, 1981. K-9, her and her aunt's other ward, Brendan Richards, uncovered the murderous cult of Hecate and she also helped out Harry Sullivan.
Shortly after that, a Time Scoop removed her to the Death Zone on Gallifrey and she was reunited with the Doctor (Third incarnation). In the '90's, she accompanied the Doctor (seventh incarnation) to a jazz concert and defeated an invasion of earth by the Kalik species. Later in the '90's, she teamed up with the Brigadier to defeat the Great Intelligence. Sarah Jane also lost her aunt Lavinia in the 1990's.
K-9 broke down and Sarah Jane, unfortunately, didn't know how to fix him and she couldn't find anyone else to fix him either because of his advanced technology. Following her departure from Planet 3 and her aunt's death, she continued her job as an investigative journalist. At this point in her investigations, she was joined by fellow investigators, Natalie Redfern and Josh Townsend. They thwarted an attempt to collapse her career by her old enemy Hilda Winters.
Two years after that Sarah Jane became tired and morose because she knew she couldn't discuss her past with anyone and she began thinking she imagined it. She became involved with a doomsday cult known as the Crimson Chapter. They believed that a 400 year old tome named the Book of Tomorrows which said that aliens would come to earth in the year 2000 and wipe out humanity and she learned the book referenced her. Sarah Jane discovered that the Chapter wanted to commit genocide and prevented it. She was distraught to learn the cult and the tome had been formed because of comments she made while traveling with the doctor.
After discovering that Josh was a cold blooded killer for the rival White Chapter cult, she admitted to being lonely in her life and began wondering if the Doctor had left her on Earth for a special task. Sarah Jane wanted something to believe in again, so she went on the Worlds first commercial spaceflight, but the flight was sabotaged by the last Crimson Chapter acolyte. It killed Josh and left Sarah Jane with failing life support and a vision of something she felt she'd been searching for. She was rescued, supposedly by NASA.
She then permanently moved from South Croydon and bought a house in Ealing. Sarah Jane was also a witness to the Sycorax invasion and she suspected the Doctor was involved. In 2007, she launched in investigation into a high school and she was reunited with the Doctor once again. She met Rose Tyler and after the initial animosity, competition and jealousy bonded with her. K-9 Mark III was destroyed during this battle and was replaced with Mark IV. Sarah Jane finally came to terms with the fact that she was unable to move on with her life and parted company with the Doctor with a newfound confidence. The Doctor also gave her a Sonic Lipstick and a watch to scan for alien life.
Soon after this reunion with The Doctor, a geologist friend of hers found an alien crystal, around which she built a computer that she named Mr. Smith. Mr. Smith posseses information on many alien species and can contact any computer in the world.
The Bane Invasion exposed her secrets to her young neighbor, Maria Jackson. Along with an artificial human boy, they defeated the Bane Mother. In the aftermath, Sarah Jane adopted the boy and renamed him Luke. After that, she opted to include Maria and Luke in her adventures.

THERE IS ALWAYS A PUPPETEER
---------------------------
CONTROLLING EVEN THE STRANGEST OF THE PUPPETS
Hello! My name is Nina, and I have been around for nearly 26years. Roleplaying's not my only hobby, I'm also super talented at Writing and reading. Want to get in touch? You can contact me by MSN, YIMand also by PM here at ACROSS TIME AND SPACE. So even if I've only been roleplaying for 8+, I think I’m pretty good! Here's an example:A quiet day on Bannerman Road. Children were outside, riding their bikes, talking and laughing. You could see a few people on their hands and knees, fussing over their gardens. Others were inside their houses, watching Telly or playing games or whatever normal families did when at home together. Nothing was interesting about them. Just normal people. Sarah Jane Smith had come to be called the Mad Woman of Bannerman Road and she could be found where she was usually always found, in her attic with her two companions, Rani and Clyde. Clyde was telling jokes and the two women were laughing, but the mood changed suddenly when Mr. Smith made an entrance.
Mr. Smith was her super computer, built inside the wall. A normal person up there would never be able to see him unless he made an entrance while they were in the attic. The main times he ever came out were when Sarah Jane or one of her friends called for him or when he'd been monitoring something that Sarah Jane could find an interest in. That happened to be the case now. He'd been monitoring the news and found a story worth interest and he quickly brought it up.
The attic was silent as they watched the news feed. A security guard disappeared last night at the University of Wales. That wasn't so unusual. People have disappeared before and it didn't always have to do with some alien invasion or something like that. People get bored of their lives and leave, start fresh somewhere else. There had to be a reason Mr. Smith was showing them this and Sarah Jane asked him if he had picked up something strange around the university last night and he mentioned electrical problems. Nothing so strange about that, not until after saying that the computers were running after the lights had gone out. Now that was odd. Computers needed electricity to run and if the lights were gone, why didn't the computers go out, too?
So something strange was happening in Wales. She could leave it up to Torchwood and UNIT. She didn't like working with them. Too many guns and Sarah Jane was strictly non violent. There were easier ways to deal with alien threats than shooting at them and killing them. No, she knew she couldn't just leave it to them. She had to go and help. They could use her. And maybe with her there, they could deal with this is a civil, non violent matter. Okay, now it was time to go and see UNIT.
Alone. She wouldn't bring Rani and Clyde into this. They didn't know what was going on, what was causing the lights to go out. It was best to leave them behind. Of course they put up a fight and followed her downstairs as she headed out to her car and as Sarah Jane drove away, they were standing in her driveway, sulking. She knew they wouldn't listen to her. They were probably already looking for a ride to get out there. Hopefully, it would take them awhile and they wouldn't get out there until after the danger passed.
********
So now Sarah Jane was in Wales, near the UNIT base. Now was the hard part. Gaining entrance to the base. The odds of them opening the gates for her was very slim. She didn't have clearance to be here, was no longer working with them. She hadn't worked with them in ages, years, since her younger days when she traveled with The Doctor. She had to find her own way onto the base. The sonic lipstick would help with that. Sarah Jane got out of her car and walked towards the single entryway. No guards, but she knew it would be hard to get in.
She used her sonic to open the chain link fence and walked onto the base. She hadn't gone so far onto the base when she was surrounded by soldiers with guns pointing her way. Seriously, they relied to heavily on their guns. She didn't like the guns pointing at her, but she didn't move. Stood there calmly, like her life wasn't in danger. She spoke calmly, too. "My name is Sarah Jane Smith," she told them all. "I want to go to the command center."
Like it was that easy. They didn't move. She spun a good lie for them, which they obviously believed because she was allowed past them to the command center. She walked right in like she belonged there and glanced around. News feeds all about that security guard and she knew there was more to it than a simple disappearance and electrical problems. There was another woman there, too, one she didn't know, but she figured she worked for UNIT. No other reason for her to be there. "My name is Sarah Jane Smith," she said again. "I've come to help."
