AMY POND & RORY WILLIAMS - River’s biological parents.

THE DOCTOR’S TARDIS - Being conceived on-board the TARDIS while she was in-flight resulted in River gaining Time Lord DNA mixed-in with her Human DNA, so... in a sense, the TARDIS is a second mother to River; however, she only has one heart and not two, like “true” Time Lords.

THE DOCTOR (ELEVENTH) - It’s already happened for River, but not yet anyone else... But, in a future, alternate timeline, River and the Doctor were married. Every time she’s met up with him after being incarcerated in the Stormcage, she’s been his wife; however, no one really knows this, because the alternate timeline in which it occurs has been erased. Only River, Amy, Rory, The (Eleventh) Doctor, and the now-bodiless Dorium Maldovar (because the Doctor told him) seem to remember.

River doesn’t really seem to have any real “friends”, per se, save for her parents and the Doctor. However, I feel that she will easily be able to make friends with most, if not ALL of the Doctor’s allies - and perhaps, even some of his enemies... I’d love for her to meet the Master!

I think she’d be absolutely tickled to meet Torchwood, too - as well as any of his companions.

There’s only ever been one man in River’s life, and that man is the Doctor (specifically the Eleventh Doctor, as Ten hadn’t recognized her in the Library). However, River is not above using her feminine wiles to get what she wants from someone - male, female, alien or other - in any given situation (if necessary - though, this only extends to flirting; she’s not the cheating-type).

Just remember... [If you’re not the Doctor,] River has a “thing” for
hallucinogenic lipstick!

I freakin' <3 River, but I understand that not everyone feels this way, and I won't be offended if anyone would prefer not to post with River - I promise!

[The Eighth Doctor]

Since River did say she had see pictures of all The Doctor's incarnations, I'm sure she'd know Eight. And the idea of the two meeting is appealing to me.

And then there's Sarah Jane. We could always do something with her too.

I would love to write with Eight and Sarah Jane! And, I bet you're right - I bet she'd recognize him as one of the Doctor's earlier faces (but, she's not sure which order they all go in). She probably knows Sarah Jane, too - at least, OF her.

[The Second Doctor]

Ten & River Song--As if anything really needs to be said here...Ten is the Doctor who didn't know her at all, even though she knew everything about him. I ended Ten's history after "The Waters of Mars" so he's already run into River so, running into her again when she's supposed to be stuck in a the virtual world, will be fun!!!

Two & River Song--I also have Two. As Nina already mentioned, River knows what all of the Doctors have looked like/will look like so she'll at least be familiar with his face. I can't think of anything specific for these two but let me know if you're interested in trying to figure something out. =)

Ten & River - Meeting River again, earlier in her timeline, after he saw her die... Epic. Let's DO IT! :D

Two & River - Since Two is most similar to Eleven, I think River would get along with him quite nicely. I would totally enjoy writing them together! : )
