THE ELEVENTH DOCTOR !
energetic - emotional - pacifist - intelligent - insecure - old

As you may have guessed, my name is The Doctor, but almost everyone calls me Get Off of This Planet. I was born a very long time ago, so that makes me just about 900, give or take a century or so. Don’t be alarmed, but I am a Time Lord.
ARE YOU REALLY HAPPY
---------------------------
WITH THE PERSON THAT YOU SEE IN THE MIRROR
Bow ties are cool. The fashion statement of the Eleventh Doctor is a maroon/burgundy red bow-tie. His button down shirt has detailing that matches this accessory, and he dons a tweed jacket with elbow patches over that. Suspenders or braces that match the bow-tie are over the well-fitting button down shirt, which are attached to black pants that seem to resemble black denim jeans. On his feet, he wears black boots that are worn enough but not so much to make him look any less 'cool'. The second most defining feature of this incarnation of The famous Doctor is the hair: brunette, quite full and styled without effort. A wave of hair that falls from the top of his head and gives him a bit more eccentricity. A peculiar feature of his face: the light eyebrows. They sit above eyes; greenish in hue, old eyes that have seen more than people would suspect of the Time Lord who resembles a young man who looks to be no more than thirty years of age. A straight nose and lips that seem to have a mind of their own (you know they do), and a defined chin. In terms of his body type, he's slender and quite tall.
He's developed an affinity for hats, but sadly none of those pieces of headwear seem to exist for very long. The fez was a beautiful thing, but it was tossed and shot--literally shot--away. He eventually got it back, along with a mop. Timey-wimey...anyway, hats! He's also acquired, on different adventures, a pirate hat, a stetson, and...oh, you're worried because he's wearing a hat now, are you? Alright, we'll move on. This young appearing man has been seen with a beard a couple of times, but don't expect him to grow it again. After all, both times he grew one he'd been a prisoner of some sort. Sometimes, he's known to switch it up and wear a dark green waistcoat. He's worn an eyedrive, too, but don't expect to see those things again; they'll kill you, literally.
Energetic
The Doctor is pretty much always on the move. He has been known to have a large amount of energy, and like his past incarnations isn't slow to tell others to "run". His physicality is usually a bit more on the silly side, and he has been known to express extreme happiness through arm movements and turning quite a bit (for example, air plane arms and a nice dramatic turn). Generally, he's into putting on a show; or at least, he used to be. He's easily excitable, usually by things that he does; for example, hammocks and bunk beds are far superior to boring old beds.
Emotional
Unlike his previous incarnations, The Eleventh Doctor has been known to act much more on his emotions. He's had his fair share of tears and angry outbursts, and will do anything for the people that he cares for. He doesn't care for people not listening to what he tells them to do. People disagreeing with him when he knows he is right is annoying, and gets under his skin. He's not good at losing people, and when it can be traced back to him, he has more than enough guilt for it; even if the event or loss was something he couldn't have stopped, he feels the guilt. For example, when Rita died in that hotel, or when Idris went away. The first incident he had reacted more than angrily, breaking things. The second mentioned event was much more somber and quiet, a quiet loss. Of course, when it comes to pure anger, we cannot forget when The Doctor egged on a Dalek during WWII era, attacking it with a wrench and telling it to defend itself.
Pacifist
The Doctor doesn't use guns to get what he thinks is right. He's never been the person who will solve a conflict with an enemy by killing them; at least, not on purpose (although that whole alien ash snow of his tenth incarnation? Humans' doing). He's had guns held to him, once by a pirate, whom he asked about compensation and Freud's comfy sofa. He can, however, be ruthless. He did, after all, help to make the human race exterminate (haha) The Silence's creatures by way of the moon landing broadcast.
Intelligent
Although he uses phrases like 'timey-wimey' and 'humany-wumany', The Doctor is in fact one of the most intelligent beings in the universe. He's not about to go out and boast about it, he has a certain degree of class--geronimo! Anyway, he's a smart guy; he's tricked the best of them, away from the Pandorica by warning them when he had no actual plan, into believing a cookie was a TARDIS self destruct button, and more. Oh, and that whole dying thing? He found a way around that; tiny people inside of human sized robots!
Insecure
He tries to act very much arrogant, but beneath that exterior of knowing it all, The Doctor is actually quite insecure. That bravado he displays is a way to cover up anything he's unsure of. This trait has caused him to make some reckless decisions; plans? What plans? Those are actually things, things that are better than plans--no, it's just that sometimes, The Eleventh Doctor doesn't have a plan ahead of time. Thinking on your feet while pretending that you've got it all under control? That's kind of his thing.
Old
How does his age play into his personality? Being centuries old kind of has an effect on how you feel things. More recently, he's learned that he's still capable of feeling the things he used to, human feelings. The Doctor has spent a lot of time around his human companions, but he also knows the feeling of loneliness. Being alone is not something that he is fond of, but he chose it after time was nearly destroyed because a woman (River Song) decided she couldn't kill the man she loves.
HOW CAN WE EVER TELL A TALE
---------------------------
IF WE STILL DON'T KNOW ITS BEGINNING AND END
Not much is known of The Doctor's birth. He was born on the planet of Gallifrey some 900 years or so ago. The Eleventh Incarnation of The Doctor came about after The Tenth Doctor absorbed a vast amount of radiation, forcing him to regenerate in the TARDIS, which was damaged when this occurred. He ended up crashing into the backyard of Amelia Pond in Leadworth, England. Amelia Pond: The Girl Who Waited--a very important person in his life. He first met her when she wandered outside her home after praying for help about the strange, frightening crack in her wall. It was quite the first meeting: he had still been 'cooking' and at first had the steering off. He asked for an apple, exclaiming that he loved them. When the little girl gave him one, however, he took a bite and spit it out. He explained that regenerating was like getting your teeth cleaned; this was generally one of the ways that explains that everything changes when The Doctor regenerates; he still has his memories of past incarnations, though.
He would leave that house, stating that he would be back in five minutes. The TARDIS got it a bit wrong, though, and he returned looking for Prisoner Zero, a full twelve years later. Oops! When he ran into the house to warn Amelia, he was hit in the head with a cricket bat and knocked unconscious. When he came to, he was cuffed (he's never liked those things) and came face to face with an adult Amelia. She later revealed herself to be the person he assumed was still a little girl. Only twelve years later, she was called Amy and not Amelia. Apparently that time waiting for someone to come back, her 'imaginary friend' had had an impact in the form of four psychiatrists who she kept biting. With the help of her and her 'kind of' boyfriend Rory Williams, they tracked down Prisoner Zero and he was taken away (killed) by the Atraxi. Then, in an act of sheer gutso, The Doctor called the Atraxi back, and let it know that Earth had someone protecting it: him, The Doctor.
The Doctor ran off once again, away in the newly reconstructed TARDIS (the interior only, of course). He would return another two years later, and this time, he would bring Amy with him to see the universe. At that time, he hadn't been aware that she had been running away the night before her wedding to Rory Williams. The two were married after some time, after they had forgotten The Doctor due to the universe beginning again. After their marriage, The Doctor gained another companion and they continued on their adventures. From being eaten by the earth, to being kidnapped, to encountering The Silence, they certainly were on their toes constantly. A dream world was among the trials that tested their strength as a trio, and at first there was a huge amount of tension between Rory and The Doctor: he assumed that Amy was in love with the Time Lord, but eventually it was assured that Rory was the man she loved more than anything.
Restarting the universe: now, that was something! Basically, it started with a message from none other than River Song. 'Hello, Sweetie'. This would lead to yet another pick-up of the woman who he would later refer to as 'hell, in high heels'. They ended up going to Stonehenge and came upon The Pandorica: a 'fairy tale'. Well, it turned out that it was all a ruse: the Romans, Rory being a Roman after being erased from the Universe by the crack in it (Rory would later be referred to as 'the boy who dies', funnily enough). The Doctor's enemies used his companion Amy's memories to construct these things, all in order to imprison the Time Lord inside the Pandorica. Everything was destroyed but the Earth: the TARDIS exploded, and The Doctor was forever trapped in the--oh, but wait one second! The vortex manipulator allowed The Doctor to get out of The Pandorica. Oh, and Autom Rory accidentally killed Amy and they put her in there to keep her alive. Rory stood guard for 2,000 years and eventually everyone was reunited.
After Amy and Rory's honeymoon, The Doctor returned them home. He sent out invitation to his death not too long afterward, and they, him, and River Song all ended up in Lake Silencio, Utah. They watched, as he instructed, him be shot by an astronaut who came out of the water (a past version of River). He died and was given a burial by cremation and put on the lake in a boat. Not too long after, River and her parents (yes, her parents--oh, Time Travel; the latter two had no idea yet) returned to the diner to meet none other than The Doctor; the one on the beach who had been killed had been a future version. Oh, boy.
How does one die and then not...die? Well, it all really has to do with tiny people inside human sized robots, The Silence, and The Doctor's wife: River Song, aka Melody Pond. After confirming that Amy had been kidnapped while pregnant with Rory's child, The Doctor destroyed the plastic copy and they rescued Amy. Unforunately, Madam Kovarian was able to kidnap Melody and get away. The child was put into an orphanage and regenerated into someone called 'Mals', who ended up being Rory and Amy's childhood friend. So...eventually, The Doctor married the child of the TARDIS (the time machine messed with her DNA since she was ahem...conceived while it had been traveling through the time vortex) after time nearly died; it had stopped, and they had to touch for it to continue on. Of course, that would have meant he would be killed by River by the lake, which she would not allow to happen.
How does one not die: tiny people inside human sized robots! The Doctor enlisted the help of some friends to allow himself to live and for his friends to believe him as dead. After a close call of Christmas with a family from WWII England, The Doctor returned to the home of The Ponds; after two years of not seeing them. Of course, River told them what he had done. The three had Christmas dinner, and The Doctor cried 'happy tears'. He hadn't thought he had been able to feel that any longer. He had been wrong.

THERE IS ALWAYS A PUPPETEER
---------------------------
CONTROLLING EVEN THE STRANGEST OF THE PUPPETS
Hello! My name is Kimberly, and I have been around for nearly 21years. Roleplaying's not my only hobby, I'm also super talented at art school and watching various television shows. Want to get in touch? You can contact me by tumblr and also by PM here at ACROSS TIME AND SPACE. So even if I've only been roleplaying for a few years, I think I’m pretty good! Here's an example:
What do you say to people who think you're dead? The Doctor sat down in a seat, near the main console of the TARDIS. His hands were folded, elbows resting on his legs as he leaned forward, head bowed slightly. Green eyes peered out, but focused on the translucent panel of flooring on the level in which he currently sat and...pondered? Pondered. It was quite the interesting and funny coincidence, considering he was thinking about none other than The Legs and The Nose; The Ponds: Amy and Rory. His friends.
They thought that he was dead, that he had been killed by River at Lake Silencio, and it was his doing that this came about. Yes, he had told River what he had planned, but as far as his friends and prior companions knew, he had told his wife his name. Part of his mind thought it was silly that they'd believe that, but then again, after centuries it became easier to become a convincing liar. Oh, great. He was a liar now? That's not fun. He was currently contemplating his oncoming trip to visit the two humans, by request of Mrs. Orwell, the woman who had brought an entire forest through the time vortex in her mind. Still impressive, very impressive. But with no mother of his own, he had been convinced by her motherly tone to go, and not allow his friends to think him dead.
Standing, he stretched his gangly legs and walked toward the console. The destination was easily configured, and he felt his heart--hearts, most likely--swell slightly (not literally, no--that's unhealthy). He felt like he had been there yesterday, saying goodbye. On the other hand, he'd been incredibly far off when it came to estimating time away from Earth in the TARDIS, which Amy could certainly attest to. Five minutes, twelve years, it's all very...complex when you factored in time travel and the like. Oh, he understood it perfectly, but explaining everything to people who weren't used to traversing the universe on whim? Well, that was just a chore sometimes, wasn't it? Anyway, as The Doctor's brain was choosing between several greetings for his friends--"Long time no see" was certainly off of the list for words in the running. "You've lost weight" seemed flattering but...no, that wasn't the right thing. "Hey, look, I'm not dead!" Better. But not quite...
The TARDIS was off, shooting through time and space, and he held on as it went, flying his 'sexy' time machine through it all. He couldn't help but grin whenever he was traveling to a planet where there wasn't a horrible plague or war or...whatnot. When he landed the blue police box safely on the ground, he made mind not to leave the brakes on. The Doctor felt the absence of that wonderful noise that it usually made when he landed the TARDIS, but figured that he'd rather make the first appearance, rather than let them hear the familiar sound. Bounding away from the center console, The Doctor made sure to check his appearance: bow tie straight, hair good. Opening the door, he peered out at the Earth setting, and the home of The Ponds. Closing the TARDIS door behind him, he pocketed the key and crossed the street. Then, with a deep breath, he reached out his hand and knocked on the blue door with the Christmas wreath hanging upon it. Go time.
